OTTAGONO
a Cassina Custom Interiors project designed by Giulia Foscari
On occasion of the Milan Design Week, OTTAGONO will be presented as an exclusive preview at the Cassina Store Milano. OTTAGONO was designed by architect Giulia Foscari, founder of UNA/UNLESS, for Cassina Custom Interiors in collaboration with Technogym. Following its preview in Milan, OTTAGONO will be launched at the Hotel du Cap-Eden-Roc, in Antibes.
Conceived as an autonomous architectural object, OTTAGONO appears as a monolithic column, with octagonal base. Its sculptural presence in the space conceals unexpected and surprising functionalities, encompassing diverse spatial programmes within its compact volume.
OTTAGONO offers a radical and unique synthesis of light and design. “On its summit, a lighting system transforms OTTAGONO into a light that shines upwards as a floor lamp combining and merging in a single object furniture design and a lighting system.” Giulia Foscari
For the first chapter of this family of objects, Giulia Foscari’s developed OTTAGONO GYM, redefining the very idea of a space dedicated to well-being. Capturing within the confined space of a singular stand-alone furniture element what generally unfolds within dedicated gym-rooms, OTTAGONO GYM contains all the necessary elements for a complete training session, including an integrated video system remotely connected to a full set of Technogym equipment and technologies that further enhances the training experience. OTTAGONO GYM is a full gym that occupies less than 1 sqm. “In times when spaces are increasingly fluid and multifunctional, opening OTTAGONO is like opening a room within a room.” Giulia Foscari
