CEASE
On occasion of the 60th International Art Exhibition of La Biennale di Venezia, Giulia Foscari, founder of UNA / UNLESS, curates “CEASE” in Campo Santo Stefano,a public art project by Bosnian Herzegovinian artist Šejla Kamerić. The artwork is commissioned by Ars Aevi Museum of Modern Art.
“CEASE is a calI to action. A calI to embrace urgently a process of peace and demand justice. Hoisted at half mast, the white flag brings us to a halt. lt imposes a moment of reflection, in silence, in mourning. Though tattered, the unexpectedly solid flag, is always waving; even at wind still, it is suspended in perpetual motion in the sky in sign of unwavering optimism and hope” - Giulia Foscari
